Glass countertops begin with Stoneglass. Harder and stronger than most stones, it combines strength and light weight, making it ideal for most advanced installations. Excellent for kitchen counters, stain proof and highly scratch resistant.
A vast improvement over similar nano-glass products on the market, Stoneglass is produced by a process of dissolving and crystallization of silicon particles, very similar to the formation of natural granite. However, Stoneglass has a better crystalline structure than natural minerals. Light is evenly reflected, making the surface attractively luminous.
The material is more resistant to acids and alkalis than marble, granite and quartz making it ideal for glass countertops. Being an inorganic material with high chemical stability, the surface of the product does not suffer damage such as color fading or loss of polish. It is non-absorbent and easy to clean.
A green soul. Stoneglass has zero environmental impact. It contains no resins or solvents and is completely recyclable. Using Stoneglass for your glass countertops means having the health of the environment at heart. Stoneglass is also safe to fabricate and exceeds Cal/OSHA’s safety requirements for silicosis exposure. The presence of free crystalline silica is not identified in any of its polymorphic varieties: quartz, cristobalite or tridymite (detection limit = 0.1%).
STONEGLASS is easy to work with. It can be fabricated using the same tools and techniques as natural stone. This is a vast improvement over previous generations of glass slabs. Your fabricator will love it.
Excellent for exterior applications. Stoneglass is not affected by UV light, it will not delaminated, discolor or lose its finish. It has been chosen by Tesla to clad their new 3.5 billion dollar Gigafactory outside Reno, NV.
Highly translucent with even light distribution throughout the slabs.
